At Intensive Reading Interventions,

we offer more than just tutoring for kids of all ages.

If your child or one you know struggles with reading problems such as reading comprehension or decoding, math problems, attention problems, has a learning disability or just can’t keep up in school, WE CAN HELP!

Located in Springfield, Missouri, Intensive Reading Interventions

goes beyond tutoring services to actually teach needed skills

and, when necessary, use advanced technology to help

develop the foundations of brain functioning

in order to aid your child’s success.

Many children diagnosed with learning disabilities,

Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD/ADD and other difficulties

may have some underlying neurological problem.

Difficulties with visual perception, auditory processing and cognitive timing can mimic (or be a part of) ADHD/ADD, reading disabilities, math disabilities, language delays and impairments.  Improving the brain’s  cognitive timing issues can help improve attention, processing, and sensory integration as well as many other areas.

Our passion is in trying to discover the underlying cause of why your child seems to not keep up, so we can solve the reason for your child's (and your) discouragement or frustration.   While tutoring and instruction in critical thinking skills will greatly benefit a student's ability to overcome, it is possible that they have a real, physical, neurological problem that is blocking their academic development.  Our diagnostic tests can help guide you to what the actual problem is in your student's academic difficulty.

Year after year, many children of all ages (as young as 4 through high school),  suffer with learning disabilities that can be overcome with positive encouragement and the development of practical, foundational skills.  Their need for tutoring in reading, writing, phonics, reading comprehension and other related areas can be coupled with realistic therapy to help them overcome their academic struggle.

Our staff combines individualized and/or small group instruction based on our diagnostic testing to encourage your child and build confidence in their abilities.  We work as a team with you, your child's teacher, and any other service providers such as speech pathologist, occupational therapists, etc.  We believe this is what sets us apart and continues to make our program a success.

“By the end of first grade, children having difficulty learning to read begin to feel less positive about themselves than when they started school.”

– Dr. G. Reid Lyon in testimony before the

House of Representatives, 2001
