Testimonies from Parents
November 2007
For years my wife
and I struggled with the continual frustrations, lack of confidence and
heartbreak of our elementary age boy who had struggled in reading and
comprehension. We diligently sought answers as to why our boy could not
read. He had the desire and took the time but the skill was just not
present. After many months of medical testing, tutoring, counseling,
evaluations and consultation with many professional groups we discovered
ADD, dyslexia and an auditory processing disorder. No wonder our boy was
so frustrated and disheartened.
. . . we sought
out the programs, professionals and interventions that would give our son
a “template for success”. We discovered that in Intensive Reading
Interventions and its founder Angelique Chaverri.
. . . we agreed
that the Interactive Metronome program would be a success factor for our
son. This program has allowed him to organize his cognitive abilities
well as effectively meet his difficulty in planning, organizing, language
and reading. Intensive Reading Interventions is done in a comfortable,
one- on- one, non-intrusive environment. Mrs. Chaverri has a
compassionate heart for academically struggling kids and will treat any
child with respect, patience and understanding . . . she effectively
communicates with us as parents . . .
We feel as though
we found our son's “template” and we are excited about his future!

Although my son
had minor challenges compared to some, I was still concerned if there was
something more. As a homeschool mom, I wanted to catch it early if
there was something I could do to help my son concentrate better.
Thanks again for working with my son and giving me some things to work on
and change for him. It gave me confidence to make the changes I knew I
needed to anyway and his concentration level is MUCH better. I've
had several people comment on what a change he has made in the last few
months. THANK YOU!!
